Eastgate Celebrates The Piazza’s Grand Reveal

Eastgate Shopping Centre is excited to be launching its revamped Piazza on the 1st of November 2019. Complete with modern finishes, more seating, decorative touches, beautiful lighting and even a sustainable LED tree, The Piazza is most definitely a must-visit destination this summer.

After roughly three months of renovations, The Piazza’s grand reveal has been highly anticipated by the centre’s tenants and customers alike. Also, The Piazza restauranteurs have been eager and excited to serve their clients in this fabulous new setting.

Now boasting a bold new look, The Piazza continues to be home to casual and fine-dining cuisine options like Asian, Mozambican-Portuguese, Italian, and Mediterranean to name a few. Eastgate chose to launch its Piazza at the perfect time – in summer, for the enjoyment of its valued customers!

The changes in The Piazza mainly involve modern accents in and around the area, new imported floor tiles enhancing its already picturesque and pleasant atmosphere, easier access from Entrances 7 and 9, and restaurant seating that spills out further onto the Piazza.

The Piazza Relaunch Celebrations

To celebrate the unveiling of Eastgate’s refreshed Piazza, we will be hosting an exciting Relaunch Event on Saturday, 02 November 2019, offering tenants and shoppers alike a day full of rugby action, restaurant specials, great live entertainment and more. Restaurant Specials – From 09:00

There will be various restaurant specials available on the day, so be sure to visit the Piazza and take a look at what will be on offer from the participating restaurants.

The Piazza Market – 10:00 to 16:00

For a unique shopping experience, don’t miss the Piazza Market on the Eastgate rooftop this Saturday, offering visitors a wide variety of treats and delights. Expect an array of home-made items, gadgets and goodies, vintage fashion, food and so much more.

2019 Rugby World Cup Final Screening – 11:00

Catch all the nail-biting action of the 2019 RWC Final between England and the Springboks LIVE on the big screen from 11:00. Don’t forget to wear your green and gold!

El Cantante & Royal Vibrationz – 13:00

And for your live entertainment on the day, don’t miss live performances by El Cantante and Royal Vibrations!

With El Cantante, singer Cito heads back to his Puerto Rican roots, performing his unique acoustic versions of the Spanish classics that he grew up listening to. Guitarist extraordinaire, Martin Rocka joins him on guitar.

Royal Vibrationz is a marimba group that has a percussive musical combination of marimba, djembe, dance and vocals. The band comprises of seven members who share common roots with different social and cultural orientations. The group represents the nicest melodies ever found in the musical history of mankind and is based in the heart of Johannesburg.
